GoCD2 is an Action Council that unites progressive activists and organizers in Virginia’s Second Congressional District. Our members include: grassroots groups, democratic committees, young democrats clubs, PACs, unions, issue-based groups, local volunteer groups, and individual activists working on voter education and mobilization. We also have partners and allies across Virginia and the United States. Action Council members meet regularly to exchange ideas, plans, and resources.
The Action Council is a roundtable, collaboratively led, with action driven by local volunteer groups . Everyone is welcome to join and participation is voluntary. The long-term goal of the Council is to develop year-round voter engagement and build the strength of the volunteer base in the communities that make up Virginia’s Congressional District 2.

Congressional District 2 spans significant territory, as far northeast as Chincoteague, as far southeast as Franklin, including 57% of Virginia Beach voters and 16% of Chesapeake City and 12% of Suffolk City. You can learn more about the district here.
